A charismatic and cunning cook on the Hispaniola who is secretly the leader of the pirate mutineers.
Appearance
A very tall, powerfully built sea-cook of about fifty. His LEFT LEG IS CUT OFF CLOSE BY THE HIP and he carries a stout wooden CRUTCH under his left shoulder, swinging on it with startling agility. Broad face as big as a ham, pale but intelligent and smiling, clean-shaven, hair tied back. A green parrot perches on his shoulder. Missing leg and crutch are essential and must always be visible.
