Meet Abbé Faria
Abbé Faria is a learned Italian priest imprisoned in the Château d’If, where he is known as Number 27 and the mad abbé. When he comes into contact with Edmond Dantès, he becomes the young prisoner’s teacher and intellectual guide, sharing his knowledge and a secret concerning a vast hidden treasure.
