Pulcheria Alexandrovna Raskolnikov is Rodion Raskolnikov’s devoted, anxious mother, living apart from her son and deeply concerned about his troubled circumstances. She writes him a long letter and travels to Petersburg, hoping to see him and support him despite the distance and strain between them.
