Meet Mrs. Fairfax
Mrs. Fairfax is the gentle, placid elderly housekeeper of Thornfield Hall, where she helps maintain the household and receives visitors. When Jane Eyre arrives to take up her new position, Mrs. Fairfax welcomes her warmly and becomes her first friendly connection in the house.
