Juliet's Nurse is the talkative, earthy woman who has cared for Juliet since infancy in the Capulet household. Affectionate and practical, she serves as Juliet's trusted confidante and helps carry messages between the young woman and Romeo as their relationship begins.
A stout, middle-aged woman with a broad, kindly face and work-worn hands, dressed in the plain, ample skirts, apron, and coif of a household servant. Her manner is warm and busy.
