Meet The Morlocks
The Morlocks are a subterranean species descended from humanity, living beneath the future world visited by the Time Traveller. Predatory and hidden from view, they stand in stark contrast to the surface-dwelling Eloi, whose lives and society are shaped by the divide between above and below.

A subterranean creature descended from man: ape-like and crouching, about four feet high, with dull bleached-white skin, lank flaxen hair, and large lidless greyish-red eyes adapted to darkness. CLOTHED in crude dark rags and sacking bound with cord about the body — never bare. Long arms, stooping gait, recoiling from light. Unsettling and feral, fully covered.
