Meet Benvolio
Benvolio is Montague’s nephew and Romeo’s loyal cousin and friend in Verona, where a long feud between the Montagues and Capulets often erupts into street violence. A peacemaker who seeks to stop the fighting, he also counsels Romeo in love and gives the Prince an honest account of events.
